Attica wine tour and Sounio visit
In this tour you will get a generous wine tasting plus a visit to Cape Sounio, at Attica’s southeastern tip, which lays the sacred Temple of Poseidon –the last piece of the ancient Athenians’ homeland. Furthermore you will enjoy a unique ride through the Attica Rivera coastal road.
Morning departure for Cape Sounio where it is the end point of the Athenian Riviera, at a 69km distance from Athens. We will visit the Temple of Poseidon, the ancient Greek god of the sea and we will admire a unique landscape where the horizon meets the Aegean Sea.
We will continue our journey towards Domaine Vassiliou. In this official winery, authorized by ministry of tourism, you will be hosted either from the owner, or by their sommelier, which they will invite you in the magic world of wine by taking a wonderful tasting of wines and various tastes from all over Greece. Our experts will advice you about the variety of Savvatiano and the new entry of retsina.
The history of the Vassiliou family wines begins around 1905.Ever since and for three generations the production of quality wine continues from privately – owned vineyards combining the art, the tradition and the modern technology.
