WINE TOUR PROGRAM

Morning  departure from Athens.  First stop at the archaeological site of Elefsis which is named the European Capital of Culture for 2021.

Eleusis is a town and municipality in West Attica. It is situated about 18 kilometres northwest from the centre of Athens. It is located at the northernmost end of the Saronic Gulf. .

This ancient town is the site of the Eleusinian Mysteries and the birthplace of Aeschylus. Today, Eleusis is a major industrial centre, with the largest oil refinery in Greece as well as the home of the Aeschylia Festival, the longest-lived arts event in the Attica Region.

Following we will visit the vineyard of the village of Kaniaris (Caniaris Tower) where you will have the opportunity to tour the vineyard, to be informed about the wine production process (winemaking, aging) and thus to test their varieties.

At the end there will be a meal for guests at the tower’s reception area. Return late in the afternoon to Athens.
